About us

The firm was established in 1971 by Bálint Borsodi and he was the one who managed it up to his death, in 2009, for about 40 years.

It was the result of His work to develop the machines of timber industry and then to launch their series production. He was master at his job.
The primary aim of his firm was to provide general services in the iron industry. However, the possibility to make an original product came up early, and, as a result of a market research, there was a significant demand on machines of timber industry, so he started a development toward this possibility.

Firstly, production of belt-saw machines was started, then the next step was development of the combined planing machine. These machines met the requirements, they worked well, and from that time there was no turning back. When a certain kind of machine was ready, other two kinds were looked for and customers had to be served. Altogether 14 types of machines have been developed and produced so far. The BB machines of timber industry form a group the members of which are the essential basic machines of woodworking, besides they have CE certificate of work protection.

We have always paid a special attention to develop a machine which is easy to handle, stabile, has a big working capacity and finally which is available on a competitive reasonable price. Since we manufacture basic machines of timber industry, in the first place we recommend them for small or middle enterprises, although they can be used anywhere so they can be found in the workshops of several big ventures. Our products have been introduced all over the country, they are well-known within the borders, what is more we make machines for foreign enterprises, too.

The firm works even after the death of Bálint Borsodi, since the family members have always meant its basis. Our aim is to keep the results reached so far and to develop them, to find new markets and to introduce new products in accordance with the customers’ demands. Our experiences show that it is worth producing machines- in spite of the economic crisis-, because there is a demand on the machines manufactured by the firm, so we can plan the future with confidence.
